Welcome to the Calgary & Area Chapter

AFP Calgary & Area Chapter was founded in 1996 and has now nearly 400 active AFP members, who serve as development directors, fundraising consultants, grant writers, volunteer fundraisers, foundation executive and other individuals dedicated to fundraising and philanthropy.

AFP Calgary & Area has regular scheduled lunch meeting featuring local speakers and topic relevant to your every day work.  The chapter also offers education and networking opportunities such as Banff Compass, National Philanthropy Day luncheon, audio conferences and CFRE study groups to help meet the needs of fundraisers at all levels.

Nov 24 - Senior Fund Developer
Calgary Seniors’ is an innovative and dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to providing needed services for low-income and isolated seniors, and to help seniors remain independent and safe in their own homes for long as possible. We provide assistance with transportation, social support, critical needs and benefits as well as information and referrals. To help prevent seniors from ending up in crisis, Calgary Seniors’ educates the community on how to identify signs of a senior at risk to help spread awareness about seniors’ issues and to ensure people have a way to report seniors they believe are in distress or need. We are also a designated provider of outreach services for seniors in the northeast of Calgary, as a part of The Way In Network. Calgary Seniors’ is looking for a dynamic and experienced fund development professional who has a passion for seniors and wants to make their mark in the seniors’ sector. The successful candidate must be engaging and be able build new connections and manage existing relationships with our stakeholders.
