Welcome to the Calgary & Area Chapter
AFP Calgary & Area Chapter was founded in 1996 and has now nearly 400 active AFP members, who serve as development directors, fundraising consultants, grant writers, volunteer fundraisers, foundation executive and other individuals dedicated to fundraising and philanthropy.
AFP Calgary & Area has regular scheduled lunch meeting featuring local speakers and topic relevant to your every day work. The chapter also offers education and networking opportunities such as Banff Compass, National Philanthropy Day luncheon, audio conferences and CFRE study groups to help meet the needs of fundraisers at all levels.
Congratulations AFP Calgary & Area Chapter members on achieveing both the AFP Ten Star Gold Award and the Friends of Diversity designation for 2014/15.
The Ten Star Gold Awards honor those chapters who have accomplised 10 required goals and 6 optional goals from the key objectives outlined in the Strategic Plan in a calendar year.
The Friends of Diversity Designation recognizes those chapters who have accomplished many of the key objectives outlined in the advancing diversity strategic goal. This designation encourages chapters to perform specific activities designed to increase diversity within fundraising and public awareness of the importance of philanthropy in all cultures.
